About Davenport
Davenport is characterized by dramatic windswept bluffs, sea caves, and secluded coves, supported by Shark Fin Cove, Davenport Landing Beach, and Waddell Creek. Waddell Creek is a world-famous windsurfing and kitesurfing destination, while Davenport Landing and Shark Fin Cove feature localized surf breaks and sea caves. At low tide, the rocky platforms at Davenport Landing reveal incredible tide pools filled with urchins and anemones. Tracking tide charts is critical for safety along this rugged coast: exploring the dramatic sea cave at Shark Fin Cove and walking the narrow beaches below the bluffs requires a low tide, as incoming high tides trap visitors against the cliff walls.
