Connecticut Tide Charts

New London tides

Predicted from NEW LONDON, State Pier, NOAA station 8461490, 1 miles away. This is the eastern end of Long Island Sound, where the range is smallest — under three feet, against seven at the Greenwich end — but the current through The Race runs hardest. High water and slack are not the same moment, which matters more here than anywhere else on this shore. Heights in feet above MLLW. Also covers Ocean Beach Park, the Thames and New London Ledge Light.

About New London

A historic deep-water port, New London encompasses the family-friendly Ocean Beach Park, the mouth of the Thames River, and the uniquely haunted New London Ledge Light. The area is bustling with swimming, riding amusement rides at the boardwalk, and taking boat tours to view the offshore lighthouse. Because the Thames River features intense tidal currents, recreational boaters must plan around a slack tide to safely navigate the channel, while swimmers at Ocean Beach Park enjoy the deepest, most refreshing water during a high tide.
