About Canaveral National Seashore
Offering the longest stretch of undeveloped Atlantic coastline in Florida, this pristine national park is a sanctuary for nature lovers. Visitors engage in primitive beach walking, backcountry camping, surf fishing, and viewing rocket launches from the nearby space center in a completely raw, natural setting. Navigating this wild coastline requires tide awareness; because the beach is completely natural and unraked, a low tide is necessary to expose a wide, hard-packed sandy path, making long-distance primitive beach walking and finding the perfect surf-fishing spot significantly easier.
