About Dunedin

Offering some of the most stunning barrier islands in the state, Dunedin covers both Caladesi Island State Park and Honeymoon Island State Park. Outdoor enthusiasts love kayaking through the intricate mangrove tunnels, walking three miles of natural white sand beach, nature trail hiking through virgin slash pine forests, and enjoying world-class shelling. The tides dictate how you explore these state parks; a high tide is strictly required to paddle a kayak through the shallow, winding mangrove tunnels of Caladesi Island, while a low tide exposes Honeymoon Island's best shell beds.
