Cypremort Point tides
Predicted from Cypremort Point, NOAA station 8765251, 0 miles away. In the marsh the tide does more than raise and lower the water. A falling tide pulls bait out of the ponds and through the cuts, and it decides how much water sits under a hull on the way back in. The range is small; what matters is which way it is running. Heights in feet above MLLW. Also covers Cypremort Point State Park, West Cote Blanche Bay and Marsh Island.

About Cypremort Point
Offering a rare man-made sand beach along the Louisiana marsh coast, Cypremort Point covers Cypremort Point State Park, West Cote Blanche Bay, and access to Marsh Island. Visitors flock here for swimming along the Vermilion Bay beachfront, windsurfing and kiteboarding in the bay breezes, beach volleyball, pier fishing, and launching boats to set crab traps. Wind and tidal shifts directly impact the water quality at the beach; an incoming high tide from the Gulf pushes cleaner, saltier water into West Cote Blanche Bay, drastically improving the water clarity for swimming and triggering a strong speckled trout bite for pier anglers.
