Holly Beach tides
Predicted from Calcasieu Pass, NOAA station 8768094, 6 miles away. In the marsh the tide does more than raise and lower the water. A falling tide pulls bait out of the ponds and through the cuts, and it decides how much water sits under a hull on the way back in. The range is small; what matters is which way it is running. Heights in feet above MLLW. Also covers Ocean View Beach, Peveto Woods and Cajun Riviera.

About Holly Beach
Affectionately known as the "Cajun Riviera," this quirky and beloved coastal stretch covers Ocean View Beach, the migratory bird haven of Peveto Woods, and miles of Gulf shoreline. It is highly popular for drive-on beach access, beach camping, surf casting, swimming, hosting evening beach bonfires, and searching for fossilized shark teeth along the drift lines. Checking the tides here is vital for vehicle safety and recreation; a high tide pushes the Gulf waters all the way up to the soft sand, which can easily strand parked vehicles, while a low tide creates a wide, hard-packed driving lane and exposes the best shell banks for finding shark teeth.
