Intracoastal City tides
Predicted from Intracoastal City, NOAA station 8765785, 0 miles away. In the marsh the tide does more than raise and lower the water. A falling tide pulls bait out of the ponds and through the cuts, and it decides how much water sits under a hull on the way back in. The range is small; what matters is which way it is running. Heights in feet above MLLW. Also covers Vermilion Bay, Freshwater Bayou and Schooner Bayou.

About Intracoastal City
A bustling maritime crossroads, Intracoastal City provides access to Vermilion Bay, Freshwater Bayou, and Schooner Bayou. While dominated by commercial offshore helicopter and boat traffic, it is also a key launching point for deep bay fishing charters and offers excellent bank fishing for red drum along the Intracoastal Waterway. The tidal flow through Freshwater Bayou and Schooner Bayou acts as a natural conveyor belt for marine life; anglers bank fishing along the waterway depend entirely on moving tides to wash shrimp and crabs past their lines, which triggers passing red drum to feed aggressively.
