Kouchibouguac tides

Predicted from the Richibucto Bar gauge, 9 miles away. The Baie des Chaleurs and the Acadian coast run a small tide, three to five feet, and the water is warm by the standards of this latitude. What the tide does govern here are the sandbars, the lagoons and the estuary channels, which shift and shoal and are worth knowing before taking a boat through. Heights in metres above Chart Datum. About Kouchibouguac

A stunning, diverse National Park, Kouchibouguac covers Kellys Beach, Callanders Beach, the massive barrier dunes, and the warm, shallow lagoons. The park is a haven for walking the boardwalk over the salt marsh, golden sand dune walking, shallow warm lagoon wading, and striped bass fishing. The intricate lagoon system is entirely controlled by the tide; a low tide transforms the lagoons into incredibly shallow, warm wading pools perfect for family picnics and safe ocean kayaking away from the Gulf surf.
