Maces Bay tides

Predicted from the West Dipper Harbour gauge, 3 miles away. Twenty to thirty feet of range, which is enough to change what a place looks like between one visit and the next. Wharves that float a boat at high water stand on their pilings at low; flats run out a long way and fill quickly. Know when the tide turns before walking out to anything. Heights in metres above Chart Datum. Also covers New River Beach, Barnaby Head and Chance Harbour.

About Maces Bay

A beautiful, rugged stretch of the Fundy shore, Maces Bay encompasses the spectacular New River Beach, Barnaby Head, and Chance Harbour. It is a premier destination for sandcastle building competitions, coastal cliff hiking, tide pooling, tidal blowhole viewing, and dulse harvesting. The sheer size of New River Beach is magnified by the tides; a low tide pulls the ocean back hundreds of meters, exposing a massive, hard-packed sandy runway perfect for walking, discovering starfish in tidal pools, and hosting epic sandcastle building events.
