New Brunswick Tide Charts

Neguac tides

Predicted from the Bas Neguac gauge, 1 miles away. The Baie des Chaleurs and the Acadian coast run a small tide, three to five feet, and the water is warm by the standards of this latitude. What the tide does govern here are the sandbars, the lagoons and the estuary channels, which shift and shoal and are worth knowing before taking a boat through. Heights in metres above Chart Datum. Also covers Neguac Beach, the Portage Island reserve and Tabusintac.

About Neguac

A quiet, nature-focused Acadian community, Neguac covers Neguac Beach, the Portage Island reserve, and Tabusintac. It is a premier location for salt marsh birding, wilderness dune exploration, sea kayak access, and trail walks along the coastal bay. Accessing the remote and pristine Portage Island by sea kayak requires expert tidal planning; paddlers must time their crossings with a slack tide to safely navigate the open bay currents and explore the isolated bird sanctuaries.
