Nova Scotia Tide Charts

Clam Harbour tides

Predicted from the Little Harbour gauge, 2 miles away. The Atlantic shore of Nova Scotia runs about six feet — a normal ocean tide, and a tenth of what the Fundy side sees sixty miles away. Nothing here behaves like Minas Basin, and a time or a height taken from that side does not apply. Heights in metres above Chart Datum. Also covers the sandcastle beach, Lake Charlotte and Owls Head.

About Clam Harbour

A beautiful, wide, and shallow beach famous for its annual events, Clam Harbour covers the main sandcastle beach, Lake Charlotte, and Owls Head. The area is highly utilized for clamming (when the flats are open), massive sandcastle building competitions, shelling, and tidal stream floating. The unique geography of the beach includes a long, shallow tidal stream; visitors love timing their swims with an incoming tide to effortlessly float up the warm, shallow stream as the ocean fills the back-beach lagoon.
