Nova Scotia Tide Charts

Crystal Crescent tides

Predicted from the Sambro Harbour gauge, 3 miles away. The Atlantic shore of Nova Scotia runs about six feet — a normal ocean tide, and a tenth of what the Fundy side sees sixty miles away. Nothing here behaves like Minas Basin, and a time or a height taken from that side does not apply. Heights in metres above Chart Datum. Also covers Sambro, Pennant Point and the white sand beaches.

About Crystal Crescent

A stunning provincial park just outside Halifax, Crystal Crescent covers the pristine white sand beaches, Sambro, and the rugged Pennant Point. It is a premier destination for hiking the rugged Pennant Point Trail, brisk swimming in the crystal-clear water, shelling, and coastal exploration. Hikers tackling the 10-kilometer Pennant Point trail heavily utilize the tide charts; a low tide exposes massive, flat granite ledges and rocky beaches along the outer loop, allowing hikers to explore fascinating tide pools and walk sections of the shoreline that are otherwise impassable at high tide.
