Nova Scotia Tide Charts

Halifax tides

Predicted from the Halifax gauge, 1 miles away. The Atlantic shore of Nova Scotia runs about six feet — a normal ocean tide, and a tenth of what the Fundy side sees sixty miles away. Nothing here behaves like Minas Basin, and a time or a height taken from that side does not apply. Heights in metres above Chart Datum. Also covers the waterfront boardwalk, Point Pleasant Park, McNabs Island and Dartmouth.

About Halifax

The bustling, historic capital city of Nova Scotia, Halifax covers its massive natural harbor, the famous waterfront boardwalk, Point Pleasant Park, McNabs Island, and Dartmouth. The urban coastal lifestyle includes walking the miles-long wooden boardwalk, taking the passenger ferry, and sailing the harbor. The deep, ice-free harbor is heavily influenced by the Atlantic tides; walkers strolling the Halifax waterfront boardwalk during a high tide can watch massive cargo ships, naval destroyers, and visiting tall ships riding high in the deep water right next to the city.
