Nova Scotia Tide Charts

Martinique Beach tides

Predicted from the Chezzetcook Inlet gauge, 5 miles away. The Atlantic shore of Nova Scotia runs about six feet — a normal ocean tide, and a tenth of what the Fundy side sees sixty miles away. Nothing here behaves like Minas Basin, and a time or a height taken from that side does not apply. Heights in metres above Chart Datum. Also covers the five-kilometre strand, Musquodoboit Harbour and the bird sanctuary.

About Martinique Beach

The longest sandy beach in Nova Scotia, Martinique covers a spectacular five-kilometre strand, Musquodoboit Harbour, and a vital bird sanctuary. Visitors flock to this pristine environment for surfing, long-distance walking, shelling, and bird watching for protected piping plovers. The sheer scale of the beach is magnified by the tides; a low tide pulls the Atlantic back to reveal a phenomenally wide, hard-packed sandy runway that is perfect for walking the entire five kilometers while hunting for intact sand dollars and sea glass.
