Nova Scotia Tide Charts

Peggys Cove tides

Predicted from the Cliff Cove gauge, 2 miles away. The Atlantic shore of Nova Scotia runs about six feet — a normal ocean tide, and a tenth of what the Fundy side sees sixty miles away. Nothing here behaves like Minas Basin, and a time or a height taken from that side does not apply. Heights in metres above Chart Datum. Also covers the lighthouse, the granite barrens and Indian Harbour.

About Peggys Cove

Arguably the most famous fishing village in Canada, Peggys Cove covers the iconic lighthouse, the sprawling granite barrens, and the neighboring village of Indian Harbour. Visitors come to clamber over the massive, glacier-scoured granite boulders, photograph the classic lighthouse, and watch the powerful Atlantic surf. While visitors must always stay off the black rocks regardless of the tide due to rogue waves, viewing the powerful, crashing surf from a safe distance is most spectacular during an incoming high tide, which brings the ocean's fury closer to the granite shoreline.
