Nova Scotia Tide Charts

Tatamagouche tides

Predicted from the Malagash gauge, 5 miles away. The Northumberland Strait has a small range, four feet or so, and shallow sand that warms through the summer — the warmest salt water north of the Carolinas, which is why these beaches are what they are. The tide matters less here than almost anywhere else in the province. Heights in metres above Chart Datum. Also covers Tatamagouche Bay, Blue Sea Beach, Rushtons Beach and the tidal flats.

About Tatamagouche

A vibrant cultural hub on the warm shore, Tatamagouche covers Tatamagouche Bay, Blue Sea Beach, Rushtons Beach, and massive tidal flats. Visitors enjoy swimming in the warmest ocean waters in the province, beachcombing, and exploring the tidal flats. The incredible tidal drop here creates a unique beach experience; at Rushtons Beach, a low tide exposes massive, rippled sandbars that trap pools of ocean water, which quickly heat up in the sun to create incredibly warm, safe wading pools for young children.
