Charlottetown tides
Predicted from the Charlottetown gauge, 1 miles away. The south shore faces the Northumberland Strait, where the tide is small — three feet or so — and the water is the warmest salt water north of the Carolinas. Shallow red sand that has been in the sun all day does that. Low water walks out a long way over flats that hold clams and quahogs. Harvesting is regulated by Fisheries and Oceans Canada; check the current closures first. Heights in metres above Chart Datum. Also covers the harbour, Victoria Park and Hillsborough Bay.

About Charlottetown
The historic capital city, Charlottetown’s waterfront covers the deep-water harbour, Victoria Park, and Hillsborough Bay. The urban coastal lifestyle includes quiet red sandstone shoreline walking, drift rock collecting, sailing the harbor, and walking the boardwalks. Even in this urban setting, the tides dictate the waterfront's appearance; walking the paths at Victoria Park during a high tide brings the bay waters swelling right up against the historic seawalls, providing the most dramatic and photogenic views of the harbor.
