Victoria-by-the-Sea tides
Predicted from the Victoria, PEI gauge, 0 miles away. The south shore faces the Northumberland Strait, where the tide is small — three feet or so — and the water is the warmest salt water north of the Carolinas. Shallow red sand that has been in the sun all day does that. Low water walks out a long way over flats that hold clams and quahogs. Harvesting is regulated by Fisheries and Oceans Canada; check the current closures first. Heights in metres above Chart Datum. Also covers the wharf, the lighthouse and Tryon shore.

About Victoria-by-the-Sea
A deeply historic and charming coastal village, Victoria covers the working wharf, the lighthouse, and the Tryon shore. Visitors enjoy walking the historic village streets, kayaking the tidal river estuaries, birding, and clamming on the tidal flats. Kayaking the intricate tidal estuaries near the village requires expert tidal planning; paddlers must ride an incoming high tide to safely explore the shallowest river mouths without getting hopelessly stuck in the thick, red estuarine mud.
