About Oceanside
Oceanside features wide, sandy shores and a vibrant harbor supported by the Oceanside Pier, Oceanside Harbor, and Buccaneer Beach. The jetties near Oceanside Harbor and the areas flanking the pier offer consistent, high-quality beach breaks for surfers of all levels. While rocky tide pooling is sparse, the harbor mouth and jetties provide popular spots for casual fishing, crabbing, and beachcombing. Keeping track of tide tables helps surfers identify optimal wave conditions relative to sandbars and ensures beachgoers can maximize wide sand access during low tide before high water pushes up against the seawalls.
