Mexico Tide Charts

Ensenada tides

Predicted from Ensenada, Todos Santos Bay, NOAA station TWC0403, 2 miles away. This is one of NOAA’s subordinate stations. Rather than computing the tide here from its own harmonic constants, NOAA takes a reference gauge in the United States and applies a fixed time and height offset to it. Compared against Mexico’s own published tables the result is good to roughly ten minutes and a quarter of a foot — fine for planning a day, less so for anything that turns on the exact moment of slack water. Heights in feet above MLLW. Also covers Playa Hermosa, Playa San Miguel, La Bufadora and Todos Santos Bay.

About Ensenada

Nestled along Todos Santos Bay, Ensenada serves as a gateway to dynamic Pacific waters where monitoring local tide tables is essential for planning an optimal coastal visit. Extreme low tides expose expansive intertidal zones along cobble and rocky shorelines, revealing marine life ideal for intertidal rock exploration and tidepooling, particularly near the natural marine landmark of La Bufadora blowhole and the surrounding rocky shores. Around Todos Santos Bay, tide shifts dramatically influence water depth and current strength across diverse surf spots—such as the world-class point break at Playa San Miguel, which thrives on specific incoming tide stages, and the gentler, wide-sand stretches of Playa Hermosa, where lower water levels provide ideal conditions for longboarders, beginner-to-intermediate surfers, and casual beach walking. Knowing the tidal schedule also ensures safer, more fruitful surf fishing and rock shore fishing, while timing visits to nearby estuary waters yields rewarded views for estuary bird watching during peak water movement.
