La Paz tides
Predicted from La Paz, NOAA station TWC0397, 0 miles away. This is one of NOAA’s subordinate stations. Rather than computing the tide here from its own harmonic constants, NOAA takes a reference gauge in the United States and applies a fixed time and height offset to it. Compared against Mexico’s own published tables the result is good to roughly ten minutes and a quarter of a foot — fine for planning a day, less so for anything that turns on the exact moment of slack water. Heights in feet above MLLW. Also covers Playa Balandra, Playa El Tecolote, the Malecón and Isla Espíritu Santo.

About La Paz
Located along the calm waters of the Sea of Cortez, La Paz is celebrated for its shallow, crystal-clear coastal lagoons and pristine islands, including Playa Balandra, Playa El Tecolote, and nearby Isla Espíritu Santo. Tides directly shape the experience at Playa Balandra, where incoming high tides fill the famous shallow lagoon for open-water swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding around iconic rock formations, while low tides transform the basin into a vast, walkable sand bar ideal for shallow lagoon wading and shell watching. Understanding the tide schedule ensures safe navigation through narrow channels for inshore fishing charters, smooth conditions for jet skiing, and comfortable strolls along gentle beach stretches and the iconic city Malecón.
