About Grayland

Grayland, supported by Grayland Beach State Park and the northern boundaries of Twin Harbors State Park, is defined by expansive, windswept beaches and rolling coastal dunes. Surfers often ride the uncrowded beach breaks along this stretch, though conditions can be heavy and raw. The broad, flat sandy plains are legendary for razor clamming, drawing crowds of harvesters during scheduled digs, as well as shell hunters looking for sand dollars washed ashore. Checking the tide chart is vital here to pinpoint the exact low-tide window needed to dig clams effectively and to prevent vehicles driving on the beach from getting stuck in incoming surf.
