About Crescent City
Crescent City features diverse coastal landscapes ranging from wide sandy stretches at South Jetty to dramatic sea stacks at False Klamath Cove. South Jetty is a regional hub for surfers seeking consistent beach breaks, while Enderts Beach to the south boasts world-class tide pools teeming with ochre sea stars, giant green anemones, and abalone shells along its rocky intertidal zones. Near the Klamath River Mouth, beachcombing and seasonal shore fishing are popular, though ocean currents require caution. Keeping track of tide charts is essential here: negative low tides are required to access the hidden tide pools and sea caves at Enderts Beach without getting cut off by incoming surf, and low ebb tides expose optimal razor clamming beds along northern sandy stretches.
